About Eshacold Danmark a/s
Eshacold Danmark a/s was established i 1982. At that time the name was VejTek. The company was located in Soellinge in the middle of Funen, and as today the company was sealing asphalt pavements. In the beginning we had only Danish customers, but as PenTack® turned into being a more and more well known method to maintain asphalt pavements, we also had customers from other countries. Mainly Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
This development proceeded, and since 1992 more than 15 mio. m2 roads and airport areas have been treated with PenTack®.
In 1998 the Dutch company Esha Group bv bought VejTek, and changed its name to Eshacold Danmark a/s. Esha Group bv is located in Groningen and their main activity is production of asphalt paper. However, the company also have a large production of polymer modified bitumen for the Dutch asphalt industry, and a production of all types of bitumen emulsions for the European market. Therefore Esha Group bv is also in pocession of various test facilities like a laboratory etc.
In 2001 our buildings in Soellinge were too small due to the proceeding development, and we moved into larger and better facilities in Odense, which included as well garages as workshop for our trucks. This gives us the opportunity to offer our customers a even better service.
In 2002 we started using plant oils in the rejuvenator part. Today PenTack® is a environment friendly product, which corresponds the demands of 2009.
Esha Group bv was bought by the Danish company Icopal Group a/s in 2004. In 2008 Esha Group bv was changed to Icopal bv.
Today Eshacold Danmark a/s seals asphalt pavements in Denmark for the Danish national and local authorities. We also work for as well Danish as European airports and some of the car manufacturers testing centres.
